Try herbal essences dangerously straight shampoo.
it works a lot better. and gets out all of the 'kink' in my hair!!
also.. a good hair straightener like a chi or something works great.. just don't use those cheap ones because (from my experience.. ) they don't work nearly as good, break easily and actually pull OUT your hair!!
good luck

garnier anti-frizz sleek and shine serum, around $10nz, works wonders. keep it tied up also, then it won't be so noticeable.

go to the ethnic haircare section. try deep conditioning your hair overnight. avoid products with alcohol-dries and frizzes out hair. so do lauryl and laureth sulfates.

well u say u have "black gurl" type of hair so i would like to think that you heard of RELAXER. u need to get some so it can straighten your hair permanently. blow dry it and flat iron it so it will be really straight. and stop getting in the shower without a shower cap lol.

use a really high quality conditioner, and shampoo, comb it THOROUGHLY, blow dry, flat iron(definitely). then i recommend the use of two products. they are both by a brand called cibu, one is called sticky rice, it will help keep your hair straight and in place all day, and then the other product is called tsu shine, it makes your hair really shiny and soft, they also have shampoo and conditioners to help keep hair happy and tame :]]. also aveda's simple elements smoothing fluid helps out quite a bit.
good luck and tell me if it works out!
