there is probably no way to get thick un-stright hair thin and stright without using heat. There is no way to change how your hair grows from your scalp. I would try washing it less and deep conditioning it once a week to keep it healthy looking. I wash my hair once a week and use styling products to cut down on damage.

I have naturally very thick hair. I have been straightening it every day for three years and every hairdresser I've been to has commented on how beautiful its condition is and how few split ends I have.

Thick hair is naturally more resilient to straightening - use a good heat protector (I found L'Oreal Hot Straight to be the best) and your hair will be fine.

I only started getting split ends when I got my hair layered to thin it, and got it dyed. It is now quite weak compared to how it was so I have to be more careful.

Straighten it and then don't wash your hair the next day. If it gets greasy, use baby powder. It helps make it look less greasy.
