Does anyone know of any hair straighteners that are good for thick,kinky, afro-licious black people hair?
I have those hot combs you use on the stove and the newer ones you plug in the wall, but they leave my hair staight but puffy and thick (unless i spend the whole day on my hair-of which I have no patience). I'm thinking a hair straightener with the metal plates would work better - although it seems like a white girl thing...What do you think?

dont use metal plates. you should get this straightener: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Revolution_d2... its expensive but it works i have poofy curly hair that frizzes and it makes my hair beautiful-i know it would work on ur hair. also this traightener wont damage your hair. if you click the link you will know everything about it. it has videos(but its a white girl so her hair is different0 but it will work on u. if it doesnt(there should be on reason why)you can return it. there is a 2 year warrenty.
